Identification of Canadian Industrial Competencies to support Canadian Space Agency’s (CSA) inputs
The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) is requesting Canadian organizations involved in Space technology development and/or research in Canada to identify the technology domains in which they are involved. Given Canada’s participation in ESA as a cooperating state, the identification of Canadian industrial competencies is required to support Canada’s inputs to the European Space Technology Master Plan (ESTMP). The ESTMP is an instrument that supports decision makers and stakeholders in the implementation of the European Technology medium and long-term strategy and the definition and consolidation of a European Space Policy on space technology. Mapping of Canadian and European competencies in the ESTMP allows both industries to determine technology gaps, identify areas where harmonization can be achieved, and identify strategic areas of technology development. Furthermore, the ESTMP includes the Harmonized European Technology Roadmaps that provide insight into priority technology development activities in Europe.
