Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) conferences bring together community leaders, economic development professionals and entrepreneurs from coast to coast to coast. These professionals attend EDAC Conferences to participate in sessions, network and listen to speakers sharing their innovative ideas and solutions to local challenges. This year’s conference will take place at the Delta St. John’s from September 21 – 24. This premier event for economic developers attracts over 300 professionals from across Canada. The 2013 conference theme Innovation on the Edgeaims to generate new ideas and seek out creative approaches for economic development locally, regionally and nationally.
Per Diem registration is available for those unable to attend the full program. The last day of the program (September 24) focuses on innovation and the role of economic development; the importance of retail development to sustainable economic growth; and a luncheon featuring speaker Ken Coates, Canada Research Chair in Regional Innovation, University of Saskatchewan.
