LOOKNorth is soliciting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and academia for a review of remote sensing technologies that can significantly advance responsible, sustainable development of Canada’s northern and oil sands resources.
This call provides the opportunity for remote sensing technology experts and subject matter experts to gain an understanding of the science and the current state of technology development in the areas of oil leak detection, mammal monitoring and gas emission, as they may apply to resource development in Canada’s northern and oil sands regions.
This request for EOIs is the first phase of a proposal process intended to identify a maximum of three (3) projects. Successful projects should demonstrate or validate technologies that will provide impacts such as an increase in operational safety, operational cost effectiveness, increased environmental responsibility, accelerated regulatory process for permits and other benefits.
ABOUT LOOKNorth: It is a national Centre of Excellence for Commercialization and Research under the Government of Canada’s Network of Centres of Excellence program, hosted by C-CORE at Memorial University.
