Petrobras CFO, Mr. Almir Barbassa, and representatives of his procurement team, will be visiting St. John’s Oct. 7 – 8, 2013 to connect with companies in the oil and gas and ocean technology sectors. They are looking to expand the company’s supply chain network. This mission is part of their strategy to support a robust five-year business plan which forecasts expenditures of CAN$244 billion, mostly in exploration and production in Brazil.
This is an excellent opportunity for members if the ocean technology cluster to raise their profile with this energy and technology giant. Petrobras priorities for this mission are offshore operations/platforms,subsea equipment and technology, and products, services and technology in onshore operations.
Recognizing this opportunity for promoting Canada’s oil and gas and ocean technologies expertise, EDC and the Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada, in collaboration with key partners, are planning this procurement mission by Petrobras to:
- Provide information about Petrobras’ investment portfolio,
- Introduce Canadian suppliers in the oil and gas and the ocean technology sectors,
- Identify opportunities in the supply of equipment, services, and technologies,
- Provide insights into the Canadian capabilities and expertise.
If your company offers solutions in line with these objectives, and you would like a to add your name to the selection list for on-on-one meetings with the Petrobras procurement team, then you must register for one of the seminars. Registration, however, does not guarantee a meeting. These meetings are limited to companies with profiles that match the current demands and priorities of Petrobras. The companies who should attend if interested includes suppliers in offshore and onshore industries and related segments.
If your company is selected from the list of registered companies, you will receive a confirmation email with the date and time of your meeting. In addition, final agenda including the seminar with Petrobras will be sent to all registered companies prior to the mission.
