Mid-Atlantic Trade Development is a priority for both levels of Government in Newfoundland and Labrador. During 2013 there will be several local initiatives related to opportunities in aerospace, defence and security in the Washington DC region, including the states of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware and North Carolina. In recognition of its members’ vested interest in those sectors the Aerospace and Defence Industry Association of Newfoundland and Labrador is promoting several of those activities in cooperation with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and the provincial Department of Innovation, Business and Rural Development.

The premier event for the year will be the Sea Air Space (SAS) Exposition in Washington DC, 8-10 Apr. 2013. http://www.seaairspace.org/  In addition to attending the event to meet decision makers, identify opportunities and see the technology, this joint governments-industry mission will include matchmaker services, market intelligence reports, industry briefings and access to the Canadian Pavilion and meeting facilities at the SAS Expo.
