The IEEE Newfoundland and Labrador Section in cooperation with Memorial University of Newfoundland will hold the twenty-first Annual Newfoundland Electrical and Computer Engineering Conference (NECEC) Thur., Nov. 8, 2012 at the Holiday Inn, 180 Portugal Cove Road St. John’s, Newfoundland.
In the lead up to the event the Newfoundland section of the IEEE has issued a second call for papers with firm dates of Sept 10 for abstract submission and Sept. 24 for notification of acceptance.
All interested persons should submit a 100 word abstract by CLICKING HERE to link to the submission page of the Associations website. Each submission will be reviewed for technical merit and content. Indicate preference of full paper, poster or presentation only.
Abstract Topics must fall broadly under the following areas:
- Communications and Networks
- Computing and Software : Controls, Instrumentation & Robotics
- Oceanic Engineering
- Power and Alternative Energy
- Signal/Image Processing and Remote Sensing
- Technology, IP and Innovation Management
Those papers accepted must submitted by the final submission deadline of Oct. 8 for presentation on Nov. 8, the day of the conference.
NECEC is a forum where professionals in electrical, electronic and computer engineering as well as information technologies can present their work to the growing technical community within the province. The conference will focus on technical concepts, innovations and implementations.
