(Moncton, NB; 14 Mar. 2014) Atlantic Canada’s mouth-watering, world-renowned seafood will be on display before a worldwide audience as a delegation of 23 Atlantic Canadian seafood companies heads to the 2014 Seafood Expo North America (formerly the International Boston Seafood Show), held this year from March 16-18.
Once again banding together under an integrated Atlantic Canada pavilion, the four Atlantic provinces and the federal government are working together to help the region’s companies showcase their high-quality, innovative seafood products, world-class services and sustainable practices. The mission also includes joint marketing and promotional efforts, training events and market research for new exporters.
Prince Edward Island Aquaculture Alliance Inc. is organizing this year’s business mission with support from the Government of Canada and the Atlantic provincial governments. In addition to significant funding from the four Atlantic Provinces and participating companies, funding of nearly $160,000 for the mission was provided through the Canada/Atlantic Provinces Agreement on International Business Development (IBDA).
