Entrevestor is a dynamic website updated daily. According to information on the site it is designed to be the portal for the investment, innovation and entrepreneurship community in Atlantic Canada. With a steady flow of blogs, featuring news and analysis of this sector, the site brings together all the players in the field, from investors, to entrepreneurs, to researchers.
Entrevestor was founded by Nova Scotia-based writers Peter and Carol Moreira as a portal to unite and inform the investment community in Atlantic Canada.
Through the site the developers are committed to helping the development of entrepreneurship in the region–largely by attempting to highlighting the remarkable achievements of existing companies. On the site they say, “Our ecosystem for developing innovation is superb, and the dynamic companies we feature each week prove this point.”
Peter Moreira spent more than 30 years in journalism in Asia, Europe the U.S. and Canada. His tenure with The Deal included six years covering M&A, private equity and VC markets in the U.S. and Canada and four years as London Bureau Chief. He served four years with Bloomberg, where he covered European and U.K. banking.
Peter previously covered banks and real estate for the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong, markets in Seoul and Hong Kong for Knight-Ridder Financial and worked as an editor/reporter in the Canadian Press’s parliamentary bureau in Ottawa. His writing has appeared in the Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, National Post and Independent on Sunday (London). Peter is a graduate of the Canadian Securities Course. He is a published author adn is recognized on the Atlantic Canadian Speaking circuit.
Carol Moreira has worked in international journalism producing stories for, among many other newspapers and magazines, the Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star, and the South China Morning Post . She won a magazine feature writing award in 2010 Like Peter is a published author.
