The Board of Directors for the Marine Technology Society (MTS) has reviewed the Society bylaws and proposed changes which are now available online for member review. The major proposed changes would:
- institute term limits for Society officers,
- expand the qualifications for student membership, and
- restructure the classifications for business and institutional members.

Comments may also be sent in writing to MTS Headquarters to the attention of Executive Director Rich Lawson at 1100 H Street NW, Suite LL-100, Washington, DC 20005. All comments must be received by Sept. 15, 2012 for consideration by the Board before it votes on adopting the proposed Bylaws.
