Authors are invited to submit abstracts for papers and posters for presentation at the Canadian Hydrographic Conference 2014. This international conference, which will be held April 15 – 17 in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador  is a continuation of the series of premier North American hydrographic conferences that alternate between the United States and Canada. The St. John’s conference will include workshops on current topics in hydrographic surveying and a full schedule of technical sessions on the latest issues, developments and applications in hydrography.

Topics for submissions are wide ranging:

  • Hydrography in support of Environmental Management and Emergency Response
  • Safety and Security
  • Economic Benefits of Hydrography
  • New and Emerging Technologies
  • E-Navigation and Marine Information Systems
  • Marine Spatial Data Infrastructure and Management
  • Coastal Zone Issues and Mapping
  • Vertical Reference Frame and Datum Issues
  • Opportunities for Collaborative Approaches

The deadline for submission of abstracts is January 24th, 2014. The submitted abstract shall be limited to 250 words and must include the following:

  • Title of proposed paper
  • Author name(s) and contact information, including title, employer, address, telephone and email
  • A maximum 50-word biography of the lead author and presenter
  • Optionally, a picture of the lead author (.JPEG, max. 200 kB)
  • Please ensure all abstract attachments are at or below 20 mb
