Rutter Inc., headquartered in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada is a developer of sophisticated radar signal processing technologies for the marine safety, security, and environmental monitoring and protection industries. In 2012, Rutter acquired OceanWaveS GmbH of Lüneburg, Germany, a recognized industry leader in the development and supply of radar-based wave and surface current measurement technology with its WaMoS® II system.
Rutter’s signal processing, recording, and playback capabilities integrate with navigational or dedicated-purpose x-band radar assets to provide enhanced situational awareness which promotes safety and efficiency in a variety of situations. Signature products include:

The application of these products spans ice management planning and navigation, oil spill detection and response management, coastal surveillance, seismic array anti-fouling, early detection of illegal and dangerous small craft at sea, and wave and current monitoring. All of Rutter’s products are available in combination to provide consolidated information reporting and decision support.
