Paul Barnes will give an overview of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers governance model and outline the environment initiatives CAPP is working on in Atlantic Canada.

Mr. Barnes is Manager, Atlantic Canada, for CAPP. He works out of their St. John’s, office. He has more than 22 years experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining CAPP, he worked with the Canada-Newfoundland & Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board as Analyst and Deputy Registrar. He currently serves on a number of Industry Advisory Boards and Committees, including Chair of the Canadian Oil and Gas Environmental Studies Research Fund.

The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) represents companies, large and small, that explore for, develop and produce natural gas and crude oil throughout Canada. CAPP’s member companies produce about 90 per cent of Canada’s natural gas and crude oil.
