NRC Karluk Centre – MUN Campus

OceansAdvance, in partnership with the NRC Karluk Centre and Memorial University’s Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, will host a Connector Event to introduce engineering students to the world of ocean technology sector.

This event is meant to entice students to get into and/or stay in the OT sector to develop our future talent pipeline.  In addition, we are hopeful these bright young men and women will have solutions for our firm’s technology challenges.

The first in this series will feature Bill Donovan, Senior Program Manager with Kraken Robotics giving a brief presentation on their organization, research needs, what direction their firm is going (future technology needs), etc.

Following this, two students from Memorial University’s Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science will give presentations on their current research.

In addition, Niraj Shukla from MITACS https://www.mitacs.ca/en/about and Florian Villaume from MCE https://mce.mun.ca/ will give brief overviews of their organizations and their programs and services.
