Please join us for our upcoming Ocean Technology Speaker Series on Thursday, April 27th 8:30am-10:00am at the NRC’s Ocean, Coastal and River Engineering Building, Arctic Avenue, Memorial University Campus.

OceansAdvance is excited that we are welcoming the NL ocean technology community back to the NRC-OCRE facility to our first OTSS since 2019!

OceansAdvance in partnership with the Office of Public Engagement of Memorial University will present:
World-Class: How Memorial University Supports NL’s Oceans and Arctic Excellence

Join Dr. Rob Greenwood, AVP, Public Engagement and External Relations and Director of the Harris Centre for a conversation about the opportunities and challenges that the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) report highlighted concerning where we need to go collectively in the future.
Since Memorial’s earliest days, the connections between the university and this province’s ocean and Arctic sectors have been deep. However, those linkages haven’t simply materialized: they are part of an ongoing public engagement relationship that is supported by a broad range of programs, partnerships, and strategies. Those support mechanisms, and their impact on the greater oceans economy in Newfoundland and Labrador, are explored in a recent report published by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Please RSVP: audra.murphy@oceansadvance.net by 4:00pm Tuesday, April 25th to confirm your seat
