ABSTRACT
Turn Back the Tide is an exciting new public awareness campaign launched by the Government of Newfoundland Labrador this fall. The campaign aims to raise awareness about climate change and encourage everyone in the province to take action to reduce their carbon footprint. By showcasing what Newfoundlanders and Labradorians can do to improve energy efficiency, the campaign also shows how households, businesses and communities can reduce their energy costs.
The Honourable Tom Hedderson, Minister Responsible for the Office of Climate Change, Energy Efficiency and Emissions Trading, will give an overview of why the issues are important, what the campaign is all about, and how we can all play our part to help make a difference. Turn Back the Tide is a dynamic multi-media campaign with online, television, and print components. It includes a new website that is a “one-stop-shop” for information, facts and advice targeted at households, business and communities, interactive tools, and a social media presence. Climate change is a shared challenge; come and learn how, together, we can make a difference.
