9th Annual SEUS-CP Conference and Business-to-Business Mission: Gaining Competitive Advantage to Sustain Economic Growth
Taking place in Nashville, Tennessee, the 9th Annual SEUS-CP B2B Mission and Conference will take place from May 26-28, 2016 at the OMNI Nashville Hotel with more than 250 Canadian and U.S. business leaders participating. This event will offer a great opportunity to network with key global leaders.
The theme of this year’s event is “Gaining Competitive Advantage to Sustain Economic Growth.” The keynote address will be from Scott T. Massey, Ph.D, Chairman and CEO, CumberlandCenter, a national leader in innovation, economic development and strategy with extensive experience with regions and universities. Included in the robust agenda is a B2B matchmaking program that will match delegates from across the 13 alliance jurisdictions to maximize business opportunities. As well, businesses will have the chance to meet directly with procurement officials from the SEUS-CP anchor companies.
Tennessee, and Nashville in particular, is known as the hub for the creative class in the Southeastern United States with innovative activities as well as digital and mobile technologies cross-cutting traditional industries such as:
- Healthcare – Hospitals, IT & Equipment (Management & Medical Devices)
- Entertainment – Film, Media & Music (Business & Intellectual Property)
- Transportation – Watercraft, Auto, Rail & Air (Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics)
Matchmaking efforts will be focused on these sectors. During last year’s conference in Charlottetown, PEI, there were a more than 600 one–on-one business-to-business meetings held over a period of two days between 68 companies and 10 anchor companies.
This conference, through focused B2B matchmaking, provides invaluable opportunities for companies to identify new markets, forge new partnerships, and foster existing business connections.
