|Program Logistics Coordinator|
Michelle joined OceansAdvance in May 2021 as Program Logistics Coordinator with the Youth Outreach and Mentoring Program. With over 30 years in the field of education, Michelle brings experience in curriculum writing, delivering district wide professional development sessions, program planning, in addition to integrating technology and varied community resources into the classroom.
Michelle graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador with a BSc. and BEd. and then completed a MEd. in Teaching and Learning. Michelle also continued further studies in the development and selection of educational resources through the Teacher Librarianship program at the University of British Columbia.
Having taught high school science, career development and entrepreneurship she brings first hand knowledge of program delivery in a classroom setting through a unique lens. Additionally, she understands the truly significant impact that real life experiences and mentorship opportunities can have on student’s future career decisions.
Michelle is excited to be working with the Youth Outreach and Mentoring program, and is committed to creating positive and engaging experiences which broaden a student’s knowledge of the diverse career opportunities available in the ever evolving Oceans Technology Sector.
