SeaAhead and Oceantic Network (formerly the Business Network for Offshore Wind) are partnering to host Startup Alley (submit applications here) at the 2024 International Partnering Forum (IPF), taking place April 22-25 in New Orleans. As a leader in ocean technology with deep experience in bluetech innovation, SeaAhead will manage the selection of 10-12 businesses to present at Startup Alley. Selected winners will deliver five-minute pitches to IPF attendees, participate in Q&A, and have the opportunity to network with buyers in the offshore wind industry.

If accepted, SeaAhead will work with your company one-on-one to help hone your pitch. IPF is the industry’s premier networking event and largest offshore wind conference in the Americas. In attendance will be an anticipated 4,000 global industry professionals from across the supply chain.

As the offshore wind and marine renewables industries continue their rapid growth along U.S. coastlines, there is a need for innovative businesses in the supply chain to help reduce costs and ensure sustainable development. It is often difficult, however, for startups to find their foothold in this growing and changing industry. Startup Alley gives your business the opportunity to showcase your innovations and directly connect with industry leaders and stakeholders.

How does it work?

Any startup working on solutions to challenges across the offshore wind and marine renewables industries is welcome to apply. You must be able to attend 2024 IPF (April 22-25) in New Orleans to deliver your pitch in-person. Participants have two opportunities to “speed-pitch” their innovations on a dedicated stage in the Exhibit Hall.

Note that if your application is accepted, there is a participation fee of $1,495 to be included in Startup Alley. Additional staff can register for a rate of $1,595. (Note that Marine Renewables Canada will also be leading an Atlantic Canada delegation to IPF again this year).

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. If your submission is accepted, you will receive an email with details about your contract and how to register for 2024 IPF. All businesses will receive coaching from SeaAhead to prepare you for your pitch presentations.

Visit the 2024 IPF website for details, cost to participate, and innovation areas.

Applications are due January 12, 2024 and reviewed on a rolling basis.
