Oceans Advance Newsletter – June 24, 2025

Marcel Montrose (Lir Maritime Consulting Ltd.), Paul Dwyer (Rutter Inc.), and Capt. Kristopher Drodge (Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland).

These individuals bring a wealth of experience, strategic insight, and a shared commitment to advancing the ocean technology sector in Newfoundland and Labrador. Their leadership will be instrumental as we continue to foster innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth within the marine industry.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to our outgoing Directors: Christopher Hearn, Brian Johnston, and Brian Burke.

Their dedication and service have been foundational to the development and success of Oceans Advance. We are deeply appreciative of their contributions and lasting impact on our organization and the broader ocean technology community.

The team at the JOT has released its summer issue with a focus on ocean monitoring with guest editor Richard Kelly from the Centre for Applied Ocean Technology (CTec) at the Marine Institute. It is a full issue with content from 21 countries around the world. Richard hopes this issue “inspires continued innovation, collaboration, and curiosity in how we observe our ocean.” The JOT team believes it will.
