Highlights

Rutter Inc. has partnered with Ørsted to develop radar technologies to improve the safe transfer of personnel to offshore wind turbines using Rutter’s wave prediction technology, sigma S6 WaveSignal™.  WaveSignal™ indicates to the crew of a Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) if there are swells that will develop above safe operating limits during a transfer, allowing crews to know in advance how waves will impact their transfer enabling them to make informed and safe decisions.

Rutter’s systems are now included on vessels contracted to Ørsted across their operations, and collaborative research has continued to advance radar wave prediction in offshore wind park construction and operations to further enhance safety.

Ørsted recently released a video highlighting their work with Rutter at https://bit.ly/Rutter-Orsted

The Canadian Ocean Enterprise Study 2024

The Ocean Enterprise includes companies that provide platforms, technology, and information services for ocean observations, measurements, analyses, and forecasts, supporting operations in the Blue Economy. The Canadian Ocean Enterprise Study is vital for measuring and showcasing the innovation and technological development of these companies in Canada.

COVE conducted the first Canadian Ocean Enterprise Study in 2020, with a follow-up in 2022. This study is also carried out in the USA every five years and annually in the UK, providing valuable data for national and international comparisons.

Participating in the survey raises awareness of the sector, tracks industry evolution, and influences policy and investment.

We want to include Ocean Advance member companies in the 2024 Canadian Ocean Enterprise Study. Your participation will help us understand key industry changes, identify trends, and enhance our analysis.

Your support is crucial to the success of this study. Thank you for your continued participation.Click here for the Ocean Enterprise Study Survey.
