RUTTER PARTNERS WITH MI CENTRE FOR MARINE SIMULATION

24 Dec. 2012, St. John's NL: Industry clients and students at the Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University's Centre for Marine Simulation (CMS) now have access to Rutter Inc.'s state-of-the-art sigma S6 Ice Navigator. The system provided by Rutter has been integrated into CMS's full-mission ship's bridge simulator and will enhance the centre's Fundamentals of Ice Navigation training program, a course which is delivered to industry to introduce concepts and practices to safely transit or operate in areas of ice. MARINE INSTITUTE, ST. JOHN'S, NL, 15 Feb. 2012: The Holyrood Marine Base, with a $279,600 investment from the provincial government, is expanding its capacity for ocean-related research and training programs.
Owned and operated by the Marine Institute of Memorial University (MI), the Holyrood Marine Base is a marine training and research facility. It provides students, researchers and ocean technology companies with access to the tools and environment they need to develop their products.
