The 2016 Marine Technology Society (MTS) student scholarship program is now open!

MTS is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for all of our 2016 scholarships. Each year MTS offers thousands of dollars in scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students who are studying in the marine science, marine engineering and/or marine technology field. Individuals must hold an MTS student membership to be eligible.

Student Membership is for full-time college students and high school seniors and is only $25 per year.

John C. Bajus Scholarship

Open to MTS members who are college undergraduates and graduate students currently enrolled full time in a marine-related field who have shown a commitment to community service and/or volunteer activities

The Paros-Digiquartz Scholarship

$2,000

Open to MTS members with an interest in marine instrumentation who are undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled full time in an academic institution.

ROV Scholarship

Up to $8,000

Open to MTS student members interested in remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) or underwater work that furthers the use of ROVs.

Dieter Family Scholarship

UP TO $1500    

Open to MTS members that are college undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled full time in a marine-related field. Full student registration and UP TO $1500 for travel-related expenses to a MTS/IEEE Oceans Conference. Winners are strongly encouraged to volunteer while at OCEANS. Winners will be required to submit an expense report with all receipts to ensure the money was used properly. Final approval will be determined by the MTS office. MTS will not cover personal items or alcohol/tobacco products.
