International Science and Technology Partnerships Canada (ISTPCanada), together with India’s Global Innovation Technology Alliance (GITA), the International Trade Branch, Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Trade & Employment and the Government of Alberta are pleased to invite you to participate in the Canada-India Match-Making Mission on Water Technologies from April 8-10, 2013 in New Delhi, India

This three-day event will provide Canadian water technology companies with a unique opportunity to forge new business and R&D collaborations with Indian companies, and explore the lucrative water technology market in India. It will also create a forum for discussion on future R&D collaboration in water technologies and future funding opportunities for industry-led Canada-India R&D projects.

Meet Indian Leaders in the Water Technology Industry

This event will bring together Canadian water technology companies with expertise in potable water and waste water management (including waste water management for agriculture) and Indian water technology leaders including:

Indian system integrators and solution providers seeking new technologies to address key Indian water challenges;
Indian water technology developers looking for international R&D partners and new channels to global markets;
    Water technology adopters and end users including federal and provincial government departments with responsibility for water management, treatment and protection; and
    Indian research institutes with expertise in water technology.

This match-making mission will provide Canadian water technology companies with the opportunity to:

    Learn about the Indian water market, including key water challenges and opportunities;
    Participate in a site visit to acquire first-hand knowledge about India’s water issues;
    Identify and meet prospective Indian R&D partners; broker business-to-business relationships; and strengthen existing Canada-India collaborations;  and
    Discuss potential bilateral R&D project ideas and upcoming funding opportunities through the collaborative R&D program managed by ISTPCanada, GITA and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Gain Greater Insight into the Indian and Global Water Technology Market at Aquatech 2013

Canadian delegates will also have the opportunity to visit the Aquatech Trade Show hosted in Delhi from April 8-10, 2013.  GITA is working closely with Aquatech organizers to help Canadian delegates gain the greatest benefit from this trade show. This includes targeted opportunities to network with more than 100 companies from India and other from countries such as China, Taiwan, Spain, Korea, the United States and the United Kingdom. GITA will also invite all Indian companies at Aquatech to participate in the Canada-India match-making session. This will enable Canadian delegates to meet an even broader array of Indian water technology innovators during the mission.

Canadian companies are invited to submit a corporate profile and expression of partnership interest by midnight EST on Thusday, March 7, 2013. Please visit our website to download the documents. 

ISTPCanada will acknowledge receipt of all corporate profiles within 48 hours. Canadian companies will be selected by ISTPCanada and GITA. ISTPCanada will subsidize up to 50 percent of the travel costs for Canadian companies participating in the mission.

ISTPCanada will follow-up with selected companies to provide additional information on the event including the final agenda, travel subsidy details and required Visa information.
