As President of PRAC, David Finn provides leadership and strategic direction for all the organization’s petroleum research and development activities in the Atlantic Region.
Based in PRAC’s St. John’s office, Mr. Finn has more than 20 years in research and has been an active member of the Newfoundland Ocean Industries Association. He is also a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He was invited this year to the Marine Technology Society AGM to provide an overview of his organization and the research and development they support.
On June 29 he provided an overview of the types of projects that PRAC is mandated to support in the region. The presentation included a discussion of the CNLOPB Guidelines for research and development related to Arctic and Harsh Environment, Subsurface and Advanced Well Design, and Health, Safety and Environment/Oil Spill Response Technologies.
