ADIANL in partnership with the Government of NL and our local ACOA office will conduct a mission to the Washington DC area in April 2014.  An anchor event for the mission will be attendance at the annual Sea Air Space exposition April 7-9, 2014.  Other mission activities will include networking opportunities through/with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) and other trade and business development activities coordinated with the Trade Commissioner Service at the Canadian Embassy in Washington.

The US Navy League’s Sea-Air-Space Exposition brings the U.S. defense industrial base, private-sector U.S. companies and key military decision makers together for an annual innovative, educational, professional and maritime based event.

Sea-Air-Space is the largest maritime exposition in the U.S. and continues as a valuable extension of the US Navy League’s mission of maritime policy education and sea service support. The Sea-Air-Space Exposition supports the mission of the Navy League and leads the way as “THE” Exposition to attend each year to display the most current information and technology relevant to maritime policy.

For the mission we have secured booth space within the highly visible CADSI Canadian Pavilion.  The booth space offers an on-site meeting room as well. And we are now looking for local companies who may be interested in having representation at the pavilion or taking part in the trade mission.

Costs:  The Cost of Registration for the SAS 2014 Exposition is confirmed at $950 + tax, payable to CADSI.  Individuals and firms are responsible for their respective travel costs.  There are no additional fees associated with the trade, networking and business development activities planned around the SAS Expo.

Note:  Firms/individuals attending the SAS Exposition, and related activities, are eligible to apply for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador Travel Stipend.

For the Mid-Atlantic Business Development (MABDN) members, the Washington mission offers an excellent opportunity to follow-up and meet with clients and/or potential clients identified through the MABDN.
