Objectives

The CIEST Fund invites Canadian and Israeli companies and academic researchers to cooperate on the research, development and commercialization of innovative energy technologies and processes.

C-CORE was the world’s first research and development organization to use altimeter data to detect icebergs. Virtual Marine Technology developed the first freefall lifeboat training facility, and the list goes on. Published in 13 international-circulation trade magazines, 33 articles highlighting ocean technology innovations in Newfoundland and Labrador, plus 11 blog entries, have made headlines around the world over the past three-and-a-half years, thanks to the City of St. John’s Ocean Technology Media Program (OTMP).
