In an initiative to assist local entrepreneurs in making business connections and accessing various economic opportunities in Nunavut, OceansAdvance is partnering with the Oceans and Arctic Opportunities Division of the Department of Business, Tourism, Culture and Rural Development to present “Doing Business in Nunavut”.
Scheduled to be delivered at 2:00 on Thursday, January 29, in the Atlantic Room of the NRC/OCRE Building on Memorial‘s St. John’s Campus, this special 45-minute overview is a value add-on presented immediately prior to the OceansAdvance AGM. The province has contracted Ron Ryan, a business consultant with the Nunavut Company Aarluk, to prepare the presentation.
Ryan is a specialist in business development and, for the past 20 years, has consulted throughout Canada for Inuit, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal organizations. He has also been a consultant to numerous Government of Canada and Government of Nunavut departments.
Ryan will provide an insider’s knowledge of business opportunities in Nunavut and how best to go about exploring those opportunities. The time budgeted for his presentation includes time for questions before the formal part of the AGM.
Additional details about Aarluk, including biographies of shareholders and staff, information about their business approach, and descriptions of previous projects are available online.
