Meet University researchers who are interested in establishing research partnerships with local firms.  Network and get new ideas to advance research collaboration and product line development.  Participating business representatives will make a three-minute pitch/presentations highlighting their industrial research needs to academic researchers who, in turn, will make similar pitches to the businees people outlining the research capabilities they have and how they might assist the firms in their work.

To help initiate new research projects responding to company needs, NSERC’s Engage Program  can provide qualifying new partnerships between Canadian university researchers and Canadian companies with up to $25,000 in support. The funds will underwrite a short-term researcha nd development project that tackles a company-specific challenge. No cash contribution from the industry partner is required.

There are numerous other NSERC and RDC funding programs that can support research collaborations and together with MITAC can provide firms with access to graduate student expertise.
