DATE: June 18 – 21 

LOCATION: Various, St. John’s, NL

A delegation of 14 people from the China Ocean Technology sector, including Oil and Gas, accompanied by the Canadian Trade Commissioner from Guangdong Province will be in St. John’s, June 18 – 21, as part of a larger Chinese delegation to Atlantic Canada. 

The group includes oceans related companies in oil and gas, institutions, and associations active in each sub-sector, and distributors for ocean technology equipment.

The aim of this mission is to identify participants who are interested in purchasing technologies and organizations interested in forming relationships with similar entities for mutual benefit and collaboration. 

Some of the identified areas of interest include:

  • Ocean chemistry optical sensors;
  • Marine towing systems;
  • Offshore oil and gas detection and exploration equipment;
  • AUV platforms and observation equipment; and
  • Winching equipment and equipment for underwater mapping and detection; and joint research and training.
