|Marine Consultant, Business Development Professional|
Angela is a native of Newfoundland and Labrador and currently resides in Paradise. She holds a diploma in Naval Architecture and a Bachelor of Technology degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She has been involved in the marine sector since 1989, working in design, academia and business development.
She began her career in British Columbia, first working for a shipyard then several private marine design consulting firms, and returned to Newfoundland and Labrador in 2004. Following a year of teaching naval architecture and offshore structures courses at the Marine Institute, Angela returned to the private sector, managing business development and operations for local production design and marine engineering firms. Most recently she offers marine consulting and business development services to local, national and international clients.
Angela is an active member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME), she is engaged with industry groups such as the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Technology Industries, the Marine Technology Society, NOIA, and Oceans Advance. She is also a proud member of the Avalon Dragons, and volunteers on their Board of Directors.
Angela is passionate about all things marine, and in her 25+ year career has witnessed amazing advancements in oceans technology, many of which are already coming from OA members. She firmly believes that’s just the tip of the iceberg and is excited to work with the Board to support advances in ocean technologies in Newfoundland and Labrador, and globally.
