Kraken Named To Marine Technology Top 100

Kraken Sonar Systems Inc. has again been named by Marine Technology Reporter to the MTR100 2017 -- a list of the 100 most influential companies in the international marine technology marketplace. This is the fifth year in a row that Kraken has been selected.   In addition to being named to the MTR 100, Kraken was listed as one of the top 17 Technology Disruptors in the marine technology industry for its Robotics as a Service business model.   Read more.

C-CORE to help Canadian Space Agency improve Canada’s satellite-based maritime surveillance capability

St. John’s-based research and development corporation C‑CORE has been contracted by the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) to adapt its proprietary radar technology for space. The CSA is availing of C‑CORE’s expertise to help develop a critical part of the next generation of RADARSAT satellites, greatly improving their imaging capability.   Read more.

ST. JOHN’S, NEWFOUNDLAND - (May 3, 2016) – Kraken Sonar Inc. (TSX-V: PNG) announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kraken Sonar Systems Inc. has invoiced a major European defense contractor for over C$400,000. Proceeds are expected to be received during Q2 2016. Due to competitive reasons, the customer cannot be named at this time.

ST. JOHN'S, NL--(Marketwired - November 02, 2015) - Kraken Sonar Inc. ("Kraken") (TSX VENTURE: PNG) is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kraken Sonar Systems Inc. has received a $1.5 million contract from a major international defence contractor for a KATFISH sonar system. Government of Canada Invests in New Coast Guard Atlantic Region Headquarters

The Honourable Rob Moore, Regional Minister for Newfoundland and Labrador and Minister of State (ACOA), on behalf of the Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, today announced an over $40 million investment by the Government of Canada in the Canadian Coast Guard. A new Atlantic region headquarters will be built at the existing Coast Guard base in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.   Read more.

Airbus Defence and Space and Provincial Aerospace signed a letter of intent which facilitates the exploration of extending their relationship internationally. Provincial Aerospace had previously been announced as Airbus Defence and Space’s primary Canadian partner for its C295 aircraft in its bid to replace Canada’s fixed-wing search and rescue (FWSAR) aircraft.
